Food glorious food!
Year 3 rolled their sleeves up and became chefs for the afternoon as they made a delicious meal of basil pesto and pasta. They used a pestle and mortar to grind their ingredients and a knife to do some (supervised) chopping , before mixing it all together and cooking it on the hob. Most children agreed it was tasty, but everyone had fun learning a new recipe... and the hall smelt of pesto for quite a long time afterwards!
