Remembrance
Today we marked Remembrance Day with an informative presentation from our House Vice-Captains and thoughtful poem from Evie R in Year 5 while our House Captains laid a wreath at the village War Memorial with Mrs Sharpe.
In our class assembly, we discussed what ‘peace’ means to us:
Peace looks like… Peace feels like…Peace sounds like… Peace is…
Upper School focused on symbols of Peace from around the world, including: the dove, olive branch, rainbow, Peace sign, V hand gesture, Broken rifle and White poppy. Children designed their own symbol of peace and wrote about how and why it represents peace to them.
