Wise Words
This week in assemblies we have been thinking about the big question: How do sacred writings affect the behaviour of believers? We discussed the importance of Ramadan as remembering the month when the Qur'an was first given to the Prophet Muhammad from Allah. We learnt about 'The Night of Power': Laylatul Qadr.
We then thought about our own 'wise words' that help to guide our behaviour and shape our values for how to live well. They are all scrunched up in the photo because we shared them by having a 'snowball' fight!
We talked about protected characteristics: Religion and belief is one of the 9 characteristics protected by the Equality Act 2010 and to remember that we all have our own beliefs and that it is important to respect these beliefs.
